Privacy Policy

Cadence respects your privacy and keeps your subscription data within your device and your Apple account whenever possible.

Data you enter

Cadence lets you manually enter information such as subscription name, amount, billing cycle, renewal date, category, payment method, and reminder preferences. By default, this data is stored only on your device.

iCloud sync

If you enable iCloud sync, Cadence stores your subscription records in your personal iCloud container so they can sync across your Apple devices. iCloud storage and sync are provided by Apple and governed by your Apple ID, your iCloud settings, and Apple's terms.

Widgets

To display home screen widgets, Cadence may generate a local snapshot of upcoming or fixed subscriptions and write it to a shared App Group container. This snapshot is only read by Cadence widgets.

Network requests

Cadence may make network requests in the following cases:

Querying Apple's public search API when you add a subscription via App Store search
Fetching exchange-rate data
Fetching available app or brand icons

These requests are used to provide app functionality. The current version of Cadence does not use a custom account server to store your subscription records.

Purchases

Cadence Pro purchases are handled by Apple through the App Store. Cadence uses StoreKit to check purchase and restore status.
